Product Information

The design criteria, shearwall size/weight all contribute to the fabricated product thickness.  Typically loading bearing shearwalls range from 12” to 24” thick.  Shearwalls can be orientated in a horizontal or vertical application depending on the specific project requirements.

Standard Design Options

  • Shearwall width and height are typically controlled by a combination of transportation limits and weight of panel.  Precast shear walls are typically 12′-0″ wide and under 64,000 lbs.
  • Precast shearwalls can have bearing on both sides with double tee/beam bearing on either cast in corbels or bearing surface connections that are installed in the field.  Corbels installed in field allow access for multiple levels to be erected on a single wall without coming in contact with protruding corbels.
